We offer you a very warm welcome when you arrive at Retreat Biarritz. This is a very special place, private and comfortable, whilst retaining the true spirit of a holiday – that is, the chance to spend some time relaxing or with new people when you want to.  We love the opportunity to become personally involved in making your stay better. Everyone is welcome, especially your partners, daughters, family and friends.  You can holiday alongside your detox experience, get pampered and relax at the same time. 


  

Where is Retreat Biarriz?

This charming eight bedroom beach house is set in its own private, lush five acre estate next to the picturesque and historical village of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and close to the fashionable town of Biarritz.

 

Sleeping 14 guests, each bedroom is en-suite with a fresh and airy interior. Here, we endeavor to make you feel at home. Guests can relax in the elegant salt water swimming pool and spend time on the neighboring Lafitenia beach or explore the local area on foot.

 

Open your French windows and wake up to the smell and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean. Retreat Biarritz is the perfect homely, seaside delight, ideally situated for your detox holiday. Enjoy the ocean breeze, sandy beaches, alfresco dining and Fresh Juices by the pool.

Retreat Biarritz offers a complete holiday experience. Our Retreat venue is surrounded by plenty of private space and so there is a great appeal to stay in and relax. However, the local area also offers so many things to do, it is impossible to fit it all in. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, you will certainly find it here.





 

Your accommodation this week will be in this beautiful French beach villa. We have eight charming en–suite bedrooms with excellent views of the mountains or overlooking the ocean. The house is set in its own private, five acre estate with a salt water heated swimming pool and jacuzzi.

We can accommodate 14 guests in shared twin or double bedded, en-suite rooms with either a balcony or a terrace leading into the garden.

The Cote Basque / Pyrenees Atlantic area enjoys a mild climate with lots of sunshine, naturally it does rain sometimes and this waters our romantic garden and vegetable plot and so we are pleased for the rain.

The surrounding area is one of unspoilt beauty and definitely a place to get close to and celebrate nature in all her glory. It offers wonderful walks, brilliant white sand beaches, and the magnificent and always inspiring mountains…

Regularly we spot large birds of prey like the Buzzard, Kites, Vultures and Eagles as they soar on the overhead thermals looking for prey. Or flocks of migrating birds like Geese and Herons in flight formation passing over the Pyrenees.

We are located in a most unique French countryside setting, in between the traditional Basque village of Saint Jean de Luz (4,8km 50 min "beach" walk),  Guethary (2,8 km 25 min "beach" walk) and the more cosmopolitan town of  Biarritz. (Europe’s No 1 surf beach) (11 km 2hr walk) and within walking distance into the Pyrenees mountains. Within reach of famous walking routes like the GR10 and GR8 and the Pilgramage route of Santiago de la Compostela. The Spanish border is only 20 minutes away which opens up a total other dimension to this already attractive and diverse area.

Philosophy @ Retreat Biarritz

 

Retreat Biarritz started in 2006 and is a small, family owned and run business.  We love running our retreat and being surrounded by nature.  Our aim was to create the sort of holiday that we would want – enjoying the best of the outdoors, seeing a new region of France and experience and learn about health and what matters the most for maintaining it.

 

We are committed to keeping Retreat Biarritz, intimate and exclusive. We don’t plan to make it into a huge impersonal spa retreat.  We run and manage Retreat Biarritz ourselves, which means that we will continuously improve what we have created, and make it even better, year after year. 


We care passionately about heath and helping you discover your way to enjoying the detox experience and we understand how very precious your holiday’s are.
